Problems in the BioRecovery
Industry
Whether its decontamination or hazardous waste removal at trauma scenes, 240
independent companies (members of the American BioRecovery Association) provide
these services. Trauma scenes frequently contain biological infectious waste
including blood, body fluids, viral pathogens such as HIV, Hepatitis B, or Norwalk
virus, bacterial pathogens, or hazardous chemicals including chemicals used in
crime scene investigation.
Use of Standard Cleaners
The present technology used by the trauma scene clean-up industry
employs a manual cleaning process in conjunction with disinfecting
liquids such as accelerated H2O2. This consists
of a physical cleaning process that is labour intensive, low-tech
and often unreliable because it is not uniform in its application.
The Solution: ViroForce 1000
Research studies have shown that ViroForce 1000 can kill 99.99% of
all Norwalk virus and bacterial pathogens in a treated space. It
also works on toxic moulds and fungi. Since it is a gas, it sanitizes
both hard and soft surfaces and inaccessible areas. It is therefore
the perfect solution for use in sanitizing trauma scenes.
ViroForce 1000 is a mobile automated disinfecting device
using ozone gas made from ambient air. It has a 30 minute turnaround
time per average-sized room. After treatment, the room or public
space is 99.99% sanitized from viruses and bacteria and can be
safely re-occupied with no adverse effects on materials or occupants.
Providing these clean-up services is greatly simplified and the
sanitizing effectiveness is enhanced with ViroForce 1000.
